The Premier Xmas Recycling Game
The aim of the game
You have sixty second to recycle as much as you can.
How to play
- Click on a recycling bin to activate it first.
- Then click on any rubbish that should go into that bin. So to collect glass, first click on the recycling bin marked GLASS then click on any glass falling down the screen.
- Your mouse will remember what bin is active so you can keep clicking on that rubbish.
- To change what you are collecting click on another recycling bin.
Where do the items go?
- Bottles and jars go into the glass bin.
- Big soda bottles go into the plastic bin.
- Newspapers go into the paper bin.
- Black bags go into the Parc tower.
What are the black bags?
The black bags are household waste once inside the Parc tower, the biological waste (for example, cooked and uncooked food) is composted down to become soil conditioner and glass, metals and plastic bag fabric is taken out for recycling. Go to www.parc.uk.com to learn more about this revolutionary recycling facility.
Your score
- You get points for getting the right items in the right bins.
- You lose points for putting the items in the wrong bins: for example putting paper in the glass bin.
Carbon Dioxide
Any waste that reaches the bottom of the screen will be incinerated, this makes your CO2 level rise, once this reaches maximum – game over. Remember every tonne of waste incinerated makes 1 tonne of the carbon dioxide: enough greenhouse gas to fill a house.
60 Seconds
Once your sixty seconds are up you games ends and you will be told your score. If it is a high score you can record your triumph on the high score table.
Playing Tips
- Click on a recycling bin FIRST
- Then try to click on all the rubbish that should go in that bin before selecting another bin.
- Keep your mouse pointer near the bottom of the screen, ready to active the right bin then dart up to click the falling waste.
- Don’t give up just because an item is nearing the bottom of the screen, you can still save it from incineration.
- There is lots of black bags waste.
